we made a history, 140 Indonesian policeman went to Darfur Sudan on Oct 11 2008,as the 1st formed police unit from Indonesia they cheers up no one can stop their smile, they move steadily toward. yup they really made a history when they foot hit on the land of Elfasher Sudan on Oct 12 2008. They landed at Elfasher Airport around 9am local time.then they will posted in Seper camp. they will handle 3 IDP camps, Abu shock, Al salam , and Zam zam. Their main duty are to Escort Police adviser , Patroling, and secure UN properties and UN staffs.
Indonesian FPU consists 110 people "tactical units" dividedinto 4 platoons all from mobile brigade and 30 as support team from regional police which comes from health, electronic and communications, mechanical and chef.

How does the role of the UN peacekeeping mission for The FPU ? The rules are designed by UN security council,. their main task is : Keeping / secure all UN personnel and asset, and perform special tasks maintain the security of refugee camps, and also riot control.
on the first day Indonesian FPU conducted on field orientation they went to IDP camps whic willl become their responsibility , each IDP camps average population about 100 thousand refugee, they were monitoring the situation and also they managed the Gps system .they also visited umda the local chief of that IDP camps, at supercamps indonesian FPU must conduct introduction training, to know more about conflict in Darfur .
